VIBRAPHONE CHAMBER MUSIC

PERCUSSION AND STRING QUARTET

LISTEN

Program Notes:

The vibraphone's resonance entwined with the string quartet creates an uncommon harmony. Mellow strings blend with the vibraphone, conjuring a misty, haunting atmosphere. The quintet spans five movements, each exploring variations of two main themes. Predominantly dreamy and ethereal, the composition also reveals bursts of energy and humor, notably in the second and fourth movements.
